How can we help you today? Checking the stepper motors is quite easy and fast to do: In the following solution you will be instructed on how to check the function of the X and Y stepper motors on the Leapfrog Creatr 3D printer.

Also make sure the connection that allows the motors to move in sync with each other is properly mounted marked with number 3 in the picture. Try moving the printhead on the X and Y axes and see if you can move the printhead; If you can it means the corresponding stepper motor is not working properly, in which case you will have to contact Leapfrog technical support in order to fix the printer.

For this you will have to remove the back panel of the printer and disconnect one motor at a time and use the Y jog tsepper and see if one of the motors is not working: The number 1 jumper on the first and second pin and the number 2 jumper on the second and third pins. Once this command is executed the printer stepper motors will lock up for 60 seconds and you should not be able to move the printhead on leqpfrog the X and Y axes. How can we help you today?
